MURDAH SRVC is a multidisciplinary project created by CHE, a singer, songwriter and manga artist.
The project was born from a desire to merge two parallel practices, music and visual storytelling into a single, coherent universe.
Rather than treating songs and images as separate outputs, MURDAH SRVC develops them simultaneously: the music acts as a soundtrack to an original manga, while the manga expands the narrative behind each track. This approach defines the core of the project: a story that unfolds across multiple formats.
CHE’s artistic background reflects this duality. Raised on Japanese anime culture in the 1990s, he developed an early passion for drawing and storytelling, eventually studying Japanese language, literature and culture, and spending time living in Japan.
At the same time, he built his path as a musician, influenced by soul artists such as Marvin Gaye, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder, alongside electronic and contemporary production.
These influences converge in what he describes as “Future Soul” — a hybrid sound that blends electronic music, house and soul into something both emotional and forward-looking.
MURDAH SRVC evolved from solo work into a live project, performed with a three-piece band combining vocals, synth programming and drums. The live dimension is essential: performances are designed as immersive experiences, integrating visual elements inspired by anime, Japanese cinema and contemporary digital culture.
Releases such as THANATOS illustrate the project’s direction — combining dancefloor energy with narrative depth. Themes such as memory, grief and identity are embedded into the music, creating tracks that function both as physical experiences and as parts of a broader story.
At its core, MURDAH SRVC is not just a musical act, but an evolving narrative system — one that invites the audience to move between sound, image and story, and to experience them as a unified world.
